How To Apply Car Window Stickers

Car window stickers are screen printed in many forms and have wide and varying applications. Generally car window stickers are of two types. Firstly surface screen printed car window stickers. These are usually screen printed straight onto a white self adhesive vinyl – be it with a gloss or matt finish. Secondly car window stickers can be screen printed onto a clear self adhesive vinyl. These can either be screen printed as a surface image or printed in reverse as an under surface image for fixing onto the inside of a transparent surface. These images are generally flood coated with a backing white to make them more visible on the car window stickers.

However the method of application for both forms of car window stickers is identical. Both will come with a silicone based release paper which is removed from the adhesive prior to application. Firstly the surface the car window stickers will be applied to needs to be thoroughly cleaned. Next that surface should be wiped with a thin layer of soapy water. The car window stickers are then carefully introduced to that surface and moved into position. Using ideally some kind of squeegee the water is forced out from underneath the car window stickers to remove any air bubbles. If any bubbles persist then the surface of the car window stickers can be pricked with small pin holes to alleviate this problem.
